HOME / About Us
Welcome to the Oshun Movement! We are driven to teach people to become natural self-healers. We encourage identifying and breaking habits that directly contribute to preventable diseases.
Our Vision: The vision of The Oshun Movement is to model and teach sustainable living in a way that shares holistic, natural, raw, healing resources, education, products, and services to communities around the globe. We teach practices that honor the Earth and her bounty. We are passionate about positively impacting the lives of children in order to break the generational patterns of perpetuating habits, traditions, and behaviors that are directly contributing to the rise of preventable diseases.
Our Philosophy: At the core of The Oshun Movement is a sacred knowing: true healing begins when we return to harmony with the Earth. We believe that a sustainable lifestyle—rooted in reverence for nature—is not only a path to restoring balance within our bodies, but a powerful antidote to chronic conditions and dis-ease. To create lasting change across generations, we must start with the children—nurturing them with the values of sustainability, so they grow up embodying wellness, prevention, and connection. This is how we break cycles. This is how we reclaim wholeness—for ourselves and those yet to come.
Our Commitment: We are devoted to co-creating a world where wellness is not a luxury, but a birthright—accessible to all, not just the privileged few. At The Oshun Movement, we believe healing should flow like clean water: freely, abundantly, and without barriers. Our commitment is to dismantle the systems that gatekeep wellness and replace them with pathways rooted in equity, education, and empowerment. Through ancestral wisdom, sustainable living, and community care, we envision a future where every being—regardless of background, identity, or circumstance—can access the resources, nourishment, and support they need to thrive.
Stay Connected to the Movement: Be the first to receive soul-nourishing wellness tips, ancestral healing wisdom, and practical guidance for sustainable living. Oshun Marcella
Oshun is a Native American preventable disease specialist passionate about teaching people to become natural self-healers. She launched The Oshun Movement in 2005 because she is dedicated to providing information and services to her community to support living an alkaline lifestyle and making wellness available to all. She is deeply committed to working with marginalized communities who have historically not had access to this level of support. She is especially devoted to working with children and makes it a priority to partner with children’s organizations wherever she goes, including Nana’s Babies in St. Thomas, Small World in Palm Beach County, Florida, and Give and Surf here in Bocas del Toro and Basti.
Oshun created a program called Garbage in Garbage out for teenagers in Boynton Beach, Florida. She went into the community where there were food deserts and taught teens how to prepare nutritious meals and snacks, discussed community based challenges, and educated them about hygiene and healthy practices. These sessions were tailored to meet the specific needs of inner city teens.
Seeds of Life is another program Oshun piloted to provide well-seasoned individuals in their 60s through 90s with education, healthy meals, and guidance. She held sessions at a variety of senior centers throughout Palm Beach County where she held chair yoga and range of motion classes to support mobility, and pain relief. She also provided education and support regarding health challenges these individuals were facing, including cancer, heart disease, osteoarthritis, neuropathy, overall pain, and limited mobility.
